Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you just were not sure what to do? There is nothing more terrifying than being out of your element and something go wrong. There are problems that you will unduly face while traveling abroad so I have come up with solutions to a few of the most stressful.
Problem: Language barriers are probably the number one problem with traveling abroad.
Solution: Google translate is good for getting you through basic conversations but if you actually want to be able to successfully communicate you can purchase Living language and learn a new language.
Problem: Too much luggage is always an issue. Running through a train station trying to make it after last call is not fun when you are dragging fifty pounds behind you.
Solution: My simple solution to this problem is to take a smaller bag. Yes, it will hold everything you actually need and it will prevent you from over packing or buying to many things while traveling.
Problem: Getting lost in foreign land can be one of the scariest experiences of your life.
Solution: keep a paper map n you at all times. Also, you can use the map on your phone without internet by just looking at it without searching.
Problem: Missing planes trains and automobiles.
Solution: The solutions to this is simple and obvious. Simply put you have to be early. There is no getting around it. If you are not on time like the train is you will miss it. Setting alerts on your phone is always a good idea. If you know ahead of time you will not make it in time to catch the plane, train or automobile you can call and see if your tickets can be changed. Not all places do this and you will probably lose a little money but a few places will help you out.
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you just were not sure what to do? There is nothing more terrifying than being out of your element and something go wrong. My mother, the wonderful woman that she is, bought me a small laptop that can be used as either a laptop or a tablet. It is very light weight, touch screen and it was less than five hundred dollars. My laptop allowed me to be able to communicate with my family and friends through Facebook. It was also extremely beneficial to have for my projects and homework while studying abroad.
